Back and Neck Pain
Back and neck pain are common issues that can significantly impact daily life and overall well-being. These discomforts may arise from various factors, including poor posture, muscle strain, injuries, or underlying medical conditions. Feel free to book, and we’ll try our best to help you in any way possible!
Muscle and Joint Pain
Muscle and joint pain can significantly impact daily activities and overall quality of life. Commonly caused by injuries, overuse, or underlying conditions such as arthritis, this discomfort can lead to reduced mobility and increased stiffness.
Post operative, acute or chronic injuries
Post-operative care is crucial for ensuring optimal recovery following surgical procedures, as it addresses both acute and chronic injuries. Acute injuries, which occur suddenly and are often the result of trauma, require immediate attention to manage pain and prevent complications. In contrast, chronic injuries develop gradually over time, typically due to repetitive stress or underlying conditions, and necessitate a comprehensive approach to rehabilitation.
Sports Injuries and Rehabilitation
Sports injuries are common occurrences that can affect athletes of all levels, from amateurs to professionals. These injuries can result from a variety of factors, including improper training techniques, lack of proper warm-up, overuse, or accidents during play. Common types of sports injuries include sprains, strains, fractures, and tendonitis, each varying in severity and recovery time.
Arthritis
Arthritis is a common inflammatory condition that affects the joints, causing pain, stiffness, and swelling. It can result from various factors, including age, genetics, and previous injuries, and encompasses over 100 different types, with osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis being the most prevalent.
Sciatica
Sciatica is a term used to describe the pain that radiates along the path of the sciatic nerve, which runs from the lower back through the hips and buttocks and down each leg. This condition often occurs when the nerve is compressed, typically due to a herniated disc, spinal stenosis, or a bone spur on the spine. Symptoms can include sharp or burning pain, numbness, and weakness in the affected leg, often aggravated by prolonged sitting or certain movements.
Osteoarthritis
Osteoarthritis is a degenerative joint disease characterized by the breakdown of cartilage, the protective tissue that cushions the ends of bones in joints. It commonly affects weight-bearing joints such as the knees, hips, and spine, leading to pain, stiffness, and reduced mobility. As the cartilage deteriorates, bones may rub against each other, causing inflammation and further discomfort. Risk factors include age, obesity, previous joint injuries, and genetics.
Headaches
A headache is a common condition characterised by pain or discomfort in the head, scalp, or neck. It can vary in intensity, duration, and type, ranging from mild tension headaches to severe migraines. They can arise from various sources, including tension, muscle strain, poor posture, or underlying medical issues
Motor Vehicle Accidents
Motor vehicle accidents can lead to a range of injuries, from minor sprains and strains to more serious conditions such as whiplash and spinal injuries.

Falls Preventions
Falls prevention is important, especially for older adults or those with mobility issues. Physiotherapy helps reduce the risk of falls by improving strength, balance, and coordination through specific exercises.
Vertigo
Physiotherapy can be highly effective in treating vertigo, particularly when it’s caused by inner ear problems like benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV). Physiotherapists use specific maneuvers, such as the Epley maneuver, to help reposition the crystals in the inner ear and reduce dizziness. Additionally, physiotherapy can include balance exercises to improve stability and prevent falls, as well as strengthening exercises to support overall movement control.
